We do not have accounts
There is no sign-up, no login and no user profile. We do not ask for your name, email address, phone number or payment details anywhere on this site.
Analytics
We use a privacy-preserving analytics service to count page views. It does not set cookies, does not store identifiers on your device and does not build a profile of you across sites or visits. We see aggregate figures — how many people read a page, which country broadly, which page sent them — and nothing that identifies an individual reader.
Advertising
Parts of this site carry advertising supplied by Google. Advertising is not served to readers in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland. If you are reading from those regions, the advertising scripts are not loaded at all and no advertising cookies are set on your device.
Elsewhere, Google may use cookies or similar technology to select and measure advertising. You can review and change what Google uses for this in your Google account's ad settings.
Cookies
We set no cookies of our own. If you change the site's light or dark appearance, that preference is stored in your own browser's local storage and is never transmitted to us.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard request information, including truncated IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention. These records are retained for a short period and are not used to identify or profile individual readers.
Links out
Articles link to other websites. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy practices apply, not ours.
Children
This site is written for a general adult audience. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Your rights and how to contact us
Because we hold no accounts and no contact details, there is normally nothing about you for us to retrieve, correct or delete. If you believe we hold information relating to you, or you have a question about this policy, write to privacy@wideanglemag.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the revised version will be posted here with a new date at the top of the page.
